Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) therapy involving burning moxa (ground mugwort) near the skin to stimulate acupuncture points and promote healing by warming the body's Qi flow and dispelling pathogenic influences. Many scholars believe that moxibustion predates acupuncture and it was first adopted around the second century B.C. It is less invasive than acupuncture yet still very effective. Benefits: *Pain relief: Moxibustion can help alleviate various types of pain, including muscle aches, joint pain, and headaches. *Improved circulation: The heat can enhance blood flow, promoting better circulation and nutrient delivery to tissues. *Boosted energy: Moxibustion can help invigorate the body and increase energy levels. *Detoxification: Some practitioners believe moxibustion can help remove toxins and impurities from the body. *Relaxation: The warmth and gentle nature of moxibustion can promote relaxation and reduce stress. We use smokeless Moxa for a more pleasant experience. We suggest a fixed treatment plan for 12 sessions, 3-4 times a week to achieve more effective results. Precautions : It should not be used on anyone diagnosed with excess “heat”. Women on their menstrual cycle should not undergo moxibustion.
